This book smooths out the myths of the "YBF" (young black female) and tackles our modern-day problems: from the education we receive as children (including a discussion of educational equality and how YBFs can transform themselves regardless of their educational backgrounds), to the culture of competitiveness amongst YBFs, particularly as it pertains to men, jobs, beauty, the value (or not) of sororities, and more.
